Women’s Career Network Finland is now looking for a new board for Autumn 2025 – Spring 2026. Join the global community of ambitious and motivated people in developing the Finnish branch of the Women’s Career Network further.
WHO ARE WE?
Women’s Career Network is a nonprofit organization for female and non-binary students and young professionals who believe in combining passion and hard work, as well as want to support each other to grow. In 2022, Women’s Career Network (WCN) expanded to become its own organization in Finland. Since then, WCN Finland has thrived and been contributing to the important movement towards a higher percentage of women in leadership positions in the workforce.
The WCN Finland Board will be responsible for the association’s operations in Finland, including strategic and internal development, financing, sponsorships, marketing and recruitment. In addition, the Board in Finland will work closely together with the Board in Sweden to develop global cooperation and our members’ international networking opportunities.

WHAT ARE WE SEARCHING FOR?
We are looking for committed and motivated university students and graduates in law, business and tech for the following positions:
Head of Events
As the Head of Events, with the help of two team members, you can unleash your imagination and plan amazing events with prospective company partners. You will have the opportunity to influence the networking opportunities available for women and non-binary individuals, fostering connections both within the community and with leading, inspiring companies. You will also grow your own network which can help you throughout your life.
Your main duties include planning the strategic side of the events and leading the events team throughout the process from planning the event to contacting companies and to attending the events. You can attend the meetings with the companies and offer your support to both team members.
To be an excellent Head of Events, you should be able to take initiative, have leadership capabilities and also the ability to handle uncertainty and sometimes stressful situations. You should be able to act in a large team, communicate and cooperate with different kinds of people.
Head of Mentorship
The WCN Mentorship Programme is a cornerstone of WCN’s annual activities. As the head of Mentorship you are responsible for ensuring the success of the Mentorship Programme.
Your responsibilities will be to lead and work with a team of three to fulfill various duties including but not limited to: planning and developing the programme, recruiting and interviewing mentors, matching mentors with mentees, organising inspiring company events for the participants, planning and executing the marketing of the programme, and providing ongoing supervision throughout the programme.
This is a unique opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. As the Head of Mentorship, you’ll not only gain hands-on experience in leading a motivated team and managing a large-scale project from start to finish, but also have the chance to network with a wide range of inspiring professionals and students. The role allows you to develop valuable skills in communication, leadership, and strategic planning, all while being part of a programme that has a real impact on others.
Head of Marketing
As the Head of Marketing, you are responsible for all marketing for WCN. This includes our social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok, as well as our website and email marketing. In this role you will have creative freedom to develop our marketing and create engaging and insightful content for our members.
As the head of marketing, you are responsible for marketing our events and other activities, and creating content of the events after they have been organized. Additionally, you get to create content that inspires and shares knowledge, such as our Career Aspiration series. As the head of marketing you will also get to be in contact with our sponsors when it comes to sponsored content.
You will be in charge of the marketing team, consisting of a few marketing team members who you will work closely with during the following year. Your job is to create a direction and inspire your team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, external communications, and team leading. To succeed in this role, you need a passion for marketing and storytelling, and you take initiative and have good organizational and communication skills.
Head of PRO
As the Head of PRO, you will be responsible for leading the development and growth of our PRO (graduated young professionals) network. Your main objective will be to expand the community, ensuring it remains vibrant, inclusive, and supportive. You will aim to organize two events, each aimed at providing PRO members with valuable professional development, networking opportunities, and inspiration. Additionally, you will work to enhance the overall value that our PRO members receive, continuously assessing their needs and improving the resources available to them.
A key part of the role will be identifying and building strategic partnerships with potential sponsors and/or collaborators that can support and elevate PRO events and initiatives. Through these partnerships, you’ll help ensure that our events are impactful, engaging, and aligned with the goals of our community.
We are looking for someone with strong organizational and communication skills who is passionate about empowering young professionals. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in event planning, partnerships, or project management. You should be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities, while also being proactive and collaborative in your approach. Above all, you should be driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives and careers of young women and non-binary professionals.
